1. What is the difference between uploading our database (.mdb) file into DB folder instead
of the www folder?

Your database file runs the risk of being downloaded by unauthorised personnel if it is in the WWW folder as it is the root directory which is browse-able from the web. DB folder on the other hand is set to non-browse-able for security purposes, your database file is protected in this case.

2. I have uploaded my Access database file (.mdb file) into the DB folder, how should I connect to it?
 

There are 2 ways to connect to the .mdb file in the DB folder.

a. DSN connection
b. DSN-less connection

We recommend DSN-less connection as it works faster and is more reliable compared to DSN connection especially when multiple users are accessing your database concurrently.

The DSN-less script is provided below for your use. Please copy, paste it in your script and amend the "filename" according to your requirement.
